Leveled Up Learning in Action

Programming with Youth Serving Organizations

During the pandemic, we partnered with Libraries to promote virtual engagement and learning opportunities with young folks. Through this work, we ran specially designed adventures and followed up with trainings so young people could facilitate their own games.

Gabe brings that “Yes, and” energy to every game. He is an open-minded and encouraging GM who excels at making sure every player has space to collaborate. The GM discussion was full of insightful questions that made me think in depth about my own play style. Everyone at our session had a lot of fun!

We collaborated with an Upward Bound program to support high schoolers with their transition to college. Through this programming we led several sessions that ranged from facilitating group dialogue to training participants to facilitate their own games.

“I liked the way Gabe talked. He would give an example and mini-lesson and have us discuss. It worked perfectly.”

Programming with Organizations

In partnership with a Medical Consulting organization, we supported community-building events to promote group culture. Over a few years we facilitated monthly games that intentionally focused on building meaningful relationships between team members.

It was a great team-building activity. I enjoyed that we were all able to be engaged and pleasantly surprised at everyone’s participation.”

Programming with Gaming Groups

We spend some of our time traveling to communities running free to play games. These adventures are designed to prioritize fun and we also want to promote social emotional development. This past year we organized several games at a local gaming convention to share some of our resources and tools.

  • Our session was epic!! I had a blast!!
  • Was very fun and felt like I was included.
